Bowen had the dolphin caller turned on.  To everyone’s relief, large numbers of bottlenose dolphins, saddleback dolphins, and short-finned pilot whales appeared and swam with the Proteus for miles.  They would lose interest after a while, and disappear, only to be replaced by new pods of curious guides.
